I phoned Adaptive Mobility Equipment from hospital needing a recliner (control to stand), they helpful from the first call. The price remained the same from phone call to delivery- offering $50 per week rent to buy was the option I went for.
Loretta set me up with recliner and stayed showing me and reassuring me until I could use the remote. Loretta phoned me the following day checking in as I was anxious the day before.
So relaxed and happy now that I cried, time to recover at home.

A DVA resident of the Gemfields, after a 4 month stint in hospital (Brisbane, Rockhampton & Emerald) 3 operations later and complications I had my leg amputated.
To be released from hospital I needed to be able to get around- my journey began ringing 3 businesses two in Rockhampton which I am still waiting to here back from, and Adaptive Mobility Equipment rang back.
After talking to Loretta, coming up with the best fit scooter for the Gemfields that wasn’t going to break, to delivery to the hospital, to demonstration and space to get comfortable. Loretta phoned after me being home 3 days to see how it was going?
Loretta didn’t just give me mobility but a clearer path with my mental health as I am having to adapt to change and my new way of life. Thank you and all the best.

To whom it may concern,
I have known Loretta since she opened as Service Savvy now trading as Adaptive Mobility Equipment, supplying mobility equipment which was not available prior, she has improved the quality of life of a lot of people.
Equipment used to be ordered from Rockhampton or Brisbane with a 3 month plus wait for delivery of mobility equipment. I had to wait for delivery of selected mobility scooter so she rented at low cost a mobility scooter.
She has the ability to service and repair everything she sells, (anything out of warranty from other suppliers). To all the people of Emerald share the word the large lot of stock of equipment including: electric wheelchairs, electric mobility scooters, wheelie walkers of all sorts, electric beds, recliners and much more vast to mention.
She has certainly made a difference to all the infirm people of Emerald, she has contact with DVA registered suppliers giving better contact and personalized customer service to all returned service veterans in a better light.

Hi, I’m Loretta Gaudron, the owner and operator of Adaptive Mobility Equipment. With over 32 years of experience in the Aged Care and Disability sector, I’ve dedicated my life to helping people live with dignity, independence, and confidence. I hold an Associate Diploma in Aged Care and Disabilities and a Certificate IV in Business Management, and I bring both practical knowledge and heartfelt care into everything I do.
Adaptive Mobility Equipment isn’t just a business to me, it’s a mission. I believe that everyone deserves equal access to the right equipment, support, and respect, no matter where they live. That’s why I’ve built a service that goes far beyond sales. I offer local sales, hire, rent-to-buy, and on-site servicing, with back-up loan equipment available when needed - all with complimentary delivery.
I’ve been proud to organise community events like Accessibility Awareness Walks and Seniors Expos, and to work closely with NDIS participants, support workers, allied health professionals, and families. My role is to help guide, support, and connect - not as a clinician, but as a trusted local who genuinely cares.

At Silver Wisdom Hub, we’re here to support older adults with real, practical help - no fuss, no cost, just genuine care.
We can guide you through My Aged Care, help prepare Health Care Directives, connect you with local services like podiatrists or physios, and assist with things like ID, taxi vouchers, or scooter rego.
We also host sessions with QAS and QLD Police on safety, injury prevention, and home security - and share info with your loved ones if needed.
As a not-for-profit, we offer a safe, welcoming space with free refreshments, friendly chats, and the support you deserve to stay independent and informed.
